Mini LUSH Haul

I had a lovely visit to Lush yesterday, I definitely had to limit myself... everything in there is so tempting! I want it all! Anywho, I thought I'd give you a little look at what I did buy!

Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt - $8.50
This has got to be my absolute favourite Lush product ever. It smells so lovely and sweet, and makes your skin feel just incredible. I especially recommend this to people who are new to Lush as it's a very good quality product and if you like sweet smells, you'll love it.

Rose Queen Bath Ballistic - $4.95
I haven't tried this out just yet but I'm looking forward to it! It's quite a strong scent of rose but I'm hoping it will be a little weaker once I actually use it. I love that there are little bits of rose petals inside, so cute!

Dream Steam Steam Tabs - $2.50 each
These. Are. Amazing. Basically all you do is fill a bowl with boiling water, drop one in, wait for it to melt in, then bring your face over the top (just above the water) and cover you and the bowl with a towel. The steam helps open and clear out your pores and it's very relaxing, too! Another one I'd definitely recommend.

What are your favourite products from Lush at the moment??

March Bellabox 2014

My final Bellabox! I've really enjoyed getting these! And yes, I do realise it's the middle of April... oops.

Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner
I absolutely loved these!! I've bought them again because they just made my hair feel amazing! My hair does get weighed down sometimes (I do have quite a lot of it!) and this specialises in making your hair feel lovely and light, and it did a pretty good job of it!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Swisse Bioactive Nature Oil
I actually used this as a nail and cuticle oil and it was lovely! I didn't use the oil for anything else so I cant say much about it's effect on stretch marks or scars.
♥ ♥ ♥

Natralus Paw Paw Pure Gel
I used this on a horrid mosquito bite and it provided relief for about 5 minutes. I'm very sensitive to insect bites, so maybe if it was another person it would be a bit more effective? It's hard to say!
♥ ♥  ♡

Glamourflage Madam Em Bubble Bath
Oooo this smelt like heaven!! Sweet and fruity, my favourite! It was a strong grapefruit scent and made heaps of bubbles. I loved it!
♥ ♥ ♥

ModelCO Party Proof Lipstick
When I first saw the colour I didn't think I would like it, as it has a bit of a brown undertone. However once I put it on I actually loved it! It looks nice and natural, and very creamy so it's not drying at all. It also comes with a little mirror on the side, which is such a neat idea!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Glam 3 in 1 Nail Art Pens with Jewels
I loved the idea of this, but it's quality kind of disappointed me. The jewels came off very easily and the stickers kept ripping! I would have loved it, otherwise.

February Bellabox 2014

Aveda Pure Abundance Style Prep
I tried this for a couple of days and it didn't give my hair any added volume from what I can tell. It does make your hair smell really, really nice though!
♥   ♡

Burt's Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey Body Lotion
I'm a big fan of Burt's Bees - it always works really well for me. The same goes for this lotion - it smells great, keeps my skin feeling moisturized for the duration of the day, and is silky soft!
♥  ♥

Shanghai Suzy Lipstick
This colour is not one I'd normally wear, but I do think its one I could get used to! It's very bright and pretty, and I love the way it looks when its on. Only thing I didn't like was that it dried out my lips (although most matte lipsticks do that to be honest).
♥

Romy Shampoo & Conditioner
Wasn't impressed with this shampoo, it did not lather whatsoever and my hair wasn't feeling clean at all. The conditioner, on the other hand, was wonderful. Nourishing and left my hair soft and silky.
♥   ♡

Gaia Skin Natuals Pink Grapefruit and Jasmine Foaming Cleanser
The smell of this cleanser really wasn't to my taste, however it worked pretty well. It removed my makeup and left my skin feeling great. I was surprised that it was called a 'foaming cleanser', when it didn't foam at all? Very odd..
♥   ♡

Lavanila The Healthy Fragrance Vanilla Grapefruit
This smells AMAZING. Exactly how it's described - just like vanilla and grapefruit. It's sweet and strong, but not overpowering. I love it!

January Bellabox 2014

My very kind Mum gave me a 3-month subscription to Bellabox for Christmas. This was the first one I received, so I thought I would do a review on the products they gave me!

Palmolive Ayurituel Shower Gel
This was a great shower gel, it lathered well and left my skin feeling clean and soft. It's very gentle which is a plus for sensitive skin. The only thing I didn't really like was the smell of it.

Phytomer Hydra Original Thirst Melting Cream
I liked this moisturizer a lot actually, it kept my skin hydrated throughout the entire day. It was light, absorbent and silky. Big tick!

INM Australia Out The Door Topcoat

I was quite disappointed with this topcoat. At first it looked glossy and reflective on my nails, but they had chipped within one day.

Avène Hydrance Optimale Rich Hydrating Cream

This is an excellent moisturizer! My skin felt super nourished and healthy after using this only a few times. I think my skin is Normal to Oily, but a bit dehydrated. This moisturizer is for Dry to Very Dry Skin, but was fine for me when I used it sparingly on the oily areas of my face (T-zone). It's very exxy; $91 for 50ml, so I wouldn't buy it myself. Although if you're willing to spend that much, then I definitely recommend it!

Tuscan Tan Wash Off Bronzing Mousse

I was quite excited to try this as it would be my first time using a fake tan, although when I went to try it out, the pump wasn't working and the mousse wouldn't come out. Very disappointing!

Model Co Fat Lash Volumising Mascara

This mascara had the best brush I've ever used! It's a standard brush but with a small knob on the end which is perfect for your bottom lashes. It makes your lashes look very long and full, although sometimes it can become a little clumpy.

Wotnot Facial Wipes

I'm not a fan of facial wipes, so I didn't have very high hopes for these ones. Surprisingly, they were quite good! They removed all of my makeup - even waterproof mascara! I could feel that they were not fully cleansing my face and pores, it removed everything on the surface - no more. I think these wipes are ideal for if you are staying at a friends, not for everyday use.

School Makeup & Beauty Essentials

It's that time again for Aussie students... back to school *SIGH*
These holidays went far too quickly  Anyway, I decided I would show you my 'School Makeup & Beauty Essentials', so basically everything I rushedly slap on my face in about 5 minutes on a school morning. Keep in mind, wearing makeup is not allowed at my school so I need to keep it to a minimum and try not to make it too obvious (that means no fancy winged eyeliner or bright lipstick..boo).

Shopping Addict.

Guess what!?!? I went shopping. Again.

Notebook - Target
Pen - Kikki K
Mmm.. It's that time of the year again: new stationary!

Daisy Socks - Princess Highway
Absolutely fell in love with these, aren't they just adorable?

Leather wallet - Mimco
I was in desperate need of a new wallet, I had grown out of my $10 hot pink one, to say the least. With that in mind, I decided to buy one that I knew I wouldn't be 'growing out of' anytime soon. I think this one from Mimco is super classy and just flat out gorgeous!

 Black Studded Sneakers - Target
These are so awesome, and cheap too; only $19! I love buying sneakers from Target, they are always a great bargain and quite comfy, too.

Owl Pencil Cases - Typo
School pencil cases don't get any cuter than this! It did take me ages to finally decide on these two, Typo always have such pretty things.

 Waterproof Mascara - Max Factor
Super Lustrous Lipstick 'Berry Couture' - Revlon
Super Lustrous Lipstick 'Plum Velour' - Revlon

Lip Butter 'Juicy Papaya' - Revlon

Last but not least, I bought these gems. It came to my attention that I needed a waterproof mascara after watching The Book Thief at the cinema and ending up almost looking like a panda (tears galore. incredible movie though). These lipsticks are all very pretty and in some of my favourite colours!

Review: Hair Products

Here are three mini reviews on some hair products I've used recently!

Toni & Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask - $15.99

I really enjoyed using this mask! I applied it to my hair immediately after shampooing and conditioning, and left it for about 5 minutes. I rinsed it and let my hair dry naturally. The result was great; my hair felt soft and hydrated, it looked shinier and felt a lot stronger. One thing I did notice was that it weighed down my hair quite a bit. I would recommend using this mask no more than once a week.

Herbal Essences 'Hello Hydration' Shampoo & Conditioner - $5.99 each

After the first wash using these products, my hair felt amazing - super soft and silky. I was very impressed, and my hair stayed this way for another 5 washes. At that point, I noticed my hair looked and felt dirty/silicon-y (can I get away with using that word?) immediately after blow drying. I was almost certain it was just a case of product build up, so I used a deep cleansing shampoo and my hair was back to normal. Two washes later (using Herbal Essences) my hair was back to feeling the way it was earlier - dirty and silicon-y. I did a little research and have realised that this is due to the silicon found in the Herbal Essences Shampoo. Won't be using that again!

Wella Professionals Purifying Shampoo - $22

This is the deep cleansing shampoo I mentioned previously. I visited a salon and asked about product build up and the lady working there recommended I use this one. It was excellent and removed all traces of the silicon in my hair. It's very strong and strips your hair of its natural oils, so I would only use it once every fortnight. This shampoo is especially good if you use lots of products in your hair. 100% recommend!

Sorry for the lack of photos; I've been feeling a bit flat today and can't really be bothered to bring out the camera.

Skincare Routine - Paula's Choice

Having a good skincare routine is essential if you want good skin. It's also a very personal thing; everyone has different skin types and will therefore have different needs. I would say my skin type is normal/combination, but can get quite dehydrated especially in the winter months. My daily skincare routine is made up of four Paula's Choice products, these might not necessarily work for you and your skin type, but they are just fine for me.

First I use the Moisture Boost One Step Face Cleanser for normal/dry skin. I've been using this face cleanser for over a year and I won't be changing it anytime soon. I use it once in the morning and twice at night, to make sure I get all the makeup off my face. My face is left feeling refreshed, soft and clean.
RRP: $40.00

Next I put on the Earth Sourced Purely Natural Refreshing Toner for all skin types. It's very gentle and made up of 98% natural ingredients. All I do is put it onto a cotton pad and swipe it all over my face and neck. I've used this toner regularly for around 3 months, before then I never thought I needed toner. My mum got me some samples and this was included, and I was quite surprised at the difference it made to my skin - It looked much more radiant and hydrated.
RRP: $32.90

After letting the toner sink in, I use the Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Gel Exfoliant for all skin types. I only use this at night time, and I use my fingers to rub it gently into my skin, avoiding eyes and lips. This is the newest addition to my skincare routine, I've only been using it for about two weeks, and have noticed a slight difference in the appearance of my pores.
RRP: $45.80

Last but definitely not least, I use the Earth Sourced Natural Moisturizer for all skin types. This moisturizer is so so amazing. It makes my skin feel lovely and soft, never dry or oily. It's very gentle - the initial packaging actually said 'Ideal for Baby Too'. This moisturizer is great, would definitely recommend it to people with a similar skin type to me.
RRP: $48.60

Money Saving Challenge & 2014 Wishlist

Being obsessed with all things beauty and fashion does have it's negatives, and the worst one is definitely spending (bolding and underlining is necessary). The second I've got money in my hands, I find something I 'need' to spend it on. I haven't got a job just yet, so this is becoming quite the problem.

The other day I found something called the 52 Week Savings Challenge and have decided to give it a go. I wanted to share it with you guys too, in case anyone else was having the same problem. The one I have linked is called the 'Mega Money Challenge' and after completing it you will have saved $6,890. This one is good for those of you who are older and have a job, but is way too much for me! I've decided to do the version for kids. The end result of this challenge is $344.50. There are plenty of other versions of the challenge, which I will link here:

365 Days
52 Week Standard
52 Week Variation
52 Week Make Money
52 Week Double
52 Week Mini
26 Bi-Weekly
24 Bi-Monthly
12 Monthly

~

I didn't think this was enough for an entire post so I'm merging it with my '2014 Wishlist' (They are kind of related, right?). Here are a few things I would love to have bought by the end of the year!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - $41.40
I've been wanting an Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette for about a billion years... they look gorgeous and have such wonderful reviews. I thought about whether it was worth buying the 1, 2 or 3 palette but it's far too much money for me! The Naked Basics Palette has six matte, neutral colours which is great for beginners (like me)!

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray - $15.99
This spray has had very good reviews and is affordable. I love the idea of a sea salt spray, you just spritz it (what a good word...spritz) in your hair and mess it up a bit, then you're ready to go. I hate spending a lot of time on my hair and as it's summer now, this look is great. The salt does dry up your hair, which is the only negative, but it should be fine as long as it's used sparingly.

Revlon Scented Nail Polish - $4.99 each
Two of my absolute favourite things - Nail polish and yummy scents. The ones I'm most looking forward to trying are Bubble Gum (back row, last one on the right) and Cotton Candy (back row, second from the left).

Our Moment Perfume by One Direction 30.0ml - $39.00
As everyone around me knows, I am a huuuge fan of One Direction. I would really love to own this, I've smelt it once before and think it's absolutely lovely. Very sweet and fruity - my favourite!

Let me know in the comments whether you're going to try one of the Saving Challenges, or tell me whats on your 2014 Wishlist!

Shopping!

I've done quite a bit of shopping over the past week... I think I might be addicted.

Gimme Brow - Benefit
The lady at the Benefit counter applied this to my eyebrows and I was so happy with how it looked! My eyebrows are very difficult, they always look too full/large when I try to fill them in with a light brown eye shadow, so I was very surprised that this looked good. It's kind of like a gel, and you brush it through your eyebrows. You can build it up a lot and but it's not very harsh so I like it :)

Little Mix 'Jade' Press-on Nails
I thought these would be a bit of fun for a night out, I'm not a big fan of fake nails and these just started to come off after about two days which was good for me. Each of the other girls have their own design of Press-on Nails, I'd love to try Perrie's - they are like a cosmic sort of design.

Color Riche Le Smoky - L'Oreal
I got this in 204 - Brown Fusion and absolutely love it. It's just beginning to get hot here in Australia, and I prefer not to wear too much make-up, so a natural looking eyeliner is perfect! The pencil comes with a smudger too, although I never really end up using them anyway.

Baby Lips Glow - Maybelline
This was only $2 so I couldn't help myself. I bought it in 'Mixed Berry' which isn't very strong, just kind of enhances your natural lip colour. Keeps my lips nice and soft, I think I'll be buying more in the Baby Lips range.

Sugar Crush Body Scrub - Soap & Glory
I've been wanting to buy something from the Soap & Glory range for a verrry long time after hearing so many bloggers rave about it. The scrub smells very fresh and citrus-y (I am fab at describing smells...not). I am yet to try it but I can't wait!

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar - Lush
Since visiting Lush for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I have kind of fallen in love. This bubble bar just smells scrumptious - it contains vanilla, almond oil and cocoa butter. This will be my first time trying a bubble bar from Lush, but basically you just crumble it underneath running water and it creates lots of lovely smelling bubbles! You can also break this one in half to get two uses out of it.

Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt - Lush
This is also my first time trying a Bath Melt from Lush, the lovely lady who served me told me that you simply drop it in the bath and let it melt. It's meant to give you lovely soft skin. This one smells like marshmallow (obviously) plus a little bit of citrus and vanilla. I literally could smell this all day - it's sooo lovely.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub - Lush
This little tub was quite overpriced, unlike most things in Lush - $9.95. Although I really couldn't help but buy it... I'm a sucker for anything mini, plus it smells totally delish. It's mostly sugar, which you rub on your lips, then lick off and finish with a lip balm (I've been using my Baby Lips one). This is literally so addictive, it tastes like fairy floss (or candy floss, for you Americans) but doesn't seem to make any difference to my lips. Worth $9.95? I guess so, but I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Hope everyone's had a lovely week so far, let me know if you want any reviews - I'd be more than happy to do them!

5 MOST WORN: Makeup

Earlier this month I posted my 5 MOST WORN: Clothes, so today I decided to do the same thing but with makeup instead!

Models Prefer lipstick 'Picture Perfect'
This is a gorgeous pink colour which I think really suits me and most of what I wear. It's nothing too drastic; great for an everyday makeup look.

Maybelline The Falsies mascara
This mascara is amazing. It lasts long, it's not flakey or clumpy and basically just looks amazing.

Clinique Superbalanced foundation - Ivory
I've been using this foundation for over a year and absolutely love it. I have pretty clear skin so this foundations light coverage is perfect for me.

Maybelline Cover Stick - Yellow
This is another product that I've been using for aaages! It's perfect for concealing dark under-eye circles, but be careful not to apply too much because the yellow colour will look very strange against your skin.

Rimmel Stay Matte powder - Transparent
This powder is great, it doesn't look cakey and stays on for ages. It's transparent, meaning its not noticeable on the skin, and it really helps keep you shine free!

Pre-Christmas Splurge

This week I've managed to use up all my money on a few too many treats. Here's what I got!

 Luxury Lush Pudding - Lush - $6.75

This is my very first Lush purchase ever! I stepped inside the shop and got very excited as I've heard Zoella rave about it sooo much. I didn't have too much money to spend so I only got this (amazing) bath bomb, which was actually a really good price. It smells incredible... kind of gingery and a bit of vanilla... I cant wait to try it!

 Face Masks - Priceline - $3.99 each

Oh, don't blame me, I know these do absolutely nothing... but they're fun nonetheless! The blue mask is 'anti-stress' and the brown one is 'deep cleansing'.

Mango Body Butter - The Body Shop - $9.95

Anyone who knows me will know I am in love with The Body Shop. Unfortunately it's insanely overpriced. These body butters are available in a large tub, or a small one like this. I bought it at the start of the week and it's almost finished! I love it so much, and definitely recommend it. The mango scent was my favourite, as well as pink grapefruit. It's fab for an all over moisturizer, but not so much on your hands as it can be quite slippery.

Rimmel Lasting Finish in Candy - Priceline - $6.95
Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer - Priceline - $14.95
Maybelline Hyper Glossy liquid liner - Priceline - $6.95

After seeing how gorgeous a pale pink lipstick looked on Tanya Burr, I assumed it would look that lovely on everyone. After getting home and trying it on, I was a little stunned as it looked a bit... different on me. It took a little bit of getting used to but I don't mind it too much! I guess I would prefer it without as much shimmer.
Everyone in the beauty world has been raving about the Wake Me Up concealer and foundation, and I can't help but jump onto the bandwagon. I've inherited dark under-eye circles which I am very insecure about, and I've never found a product that completely conceals them. I would be lying if I said that this concealer does the trick, but it's definitely the closest I've been! This, along with my Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer, is pretty good!
Purchasing this liquid eyeliner was actually a mistake! I forgot to put it down after looking at it and handed it to the shopkeeper with all of my other stuff without noticing. Oh well, I'm actually really glad that happened because I've wanted a liquid eyeliner for a while and I've just been too scared. I'm pretty happy just using a pencil, but I'm gonna test out this one now that I have it!

 Blue lace scrunchie - Valleygirl - $4.95

Couldn't resist buying this. It's adorable, and I'll be able to wear it with my school uniform so my hair will look a little less boring!

I hope you all had a wonderful week :) Let me know if you want reviews for any of these products! Have a wonderful Christmas, and if you don't celebrate Christmas, enjoy your week anyway!
